Extensive documentation of successfully treated cases considered incurable by conventional medicine. Presentation of anamneses, choice of remedy and follow-up treatment.
Carlos N. Cámpora
Clinical verification is the key concern of evidence-based Homeopathy (EBH). Dr. Cámpora will present two cases of BRECHA, the Argentinian research database of homeopathic cases. The first is the videorecording of a severe psychiatric cured case: An 11-year old child, diagnosed with a dysthymic disorder (chronic depressive disorder) plus delusional disorder. The second severe and difficult case presented by Dr. Cámpora is a girl with congenital megacolon (Hirschsprung disease) cured by homeopathy.
Both cases will analyzed in detail with an emphasis placed on: 1. The analysis of the case including the approach strategies used. 2. The verbatim expressions of the patient and their precise translation into the exact rubrics of the repertory. 3. Treatment and follow-up. Dr. Cámpora will show that when high-quality cases traditionally considered incurable are cured, these represent undeniable homeopathic evidence.

Evidence based homeopathy
Carlos N. Cámpora
Evidence-based Homeopathy (EBH) is a homeopathy-specific approach which intends to confirm, validate and discard homeopathic symptoms, notions and methodologies, based on clinical verification. In this regard the Argentinian homeopathic casebank BRECHA is at the forefront of clinical case-based research, in using the strictest standards for documentation and the assessment of treatment results. These standards allow to make research on high-quality cases using together elements of quantitative and qualitative research. In doing so it inmplements a specific Score of Quality for chronic and acute cases developed by Dr. Cámpora in 2001. This score allows to obtain a numeric evaluation which provides information about the quality, the severity and other relevant aspects of the case. The lecture will
demonstrate that high-quality cases represent today one of the most useful tools to understand and improve the outcomes of homeopathic prescriptions.
Dr. Carlos Néstor Cámpora M.D. (Argentina), is an internist and a truly gifted homeopath. At the age of 16 already he began an ardent study of the classical works of homeopathy and he is known for well-documented healings of cases that were considered clinically incurable. In 2003 Dr. Cámpora has founded the Vitalis High-Quality Clinical Case Bank, which systematically collects clinically cured cases. He is directing the homeopathy courses given at the medical school of the University of Buenos Aires and serving as president of the Fundación Médica Homeopáthica Vitalis. In the 1990s he was the first to conduct remedy provings in Argentina since 50 years.
Dr. Cámpora, who is also a frequent lecturer at international conferences, has authored numerous publications, among others, on the treatment of hypertension, trigeminal neuralgia, and AIDS, as well as the methodology of remedy provings. In 1999 he published his newly proven remedies Loxosceles laeta (a spider toxin) and Geranoetus melanoleucus (black-chested buzzard eagle).
