In the morning we visit the historical city of Baden-Baden with the New
Castle, the Stiftskirche, a late gothic building with a famous stone carved
crucifix and the tomb of Ludwig Wilhelm of Baden, the so called
‘Türkenlouis’. We visit the Roman Bath Buildings and reach the
valley of the Oos.
In the afternoon we walk along the Lichtentaler Alee. Starting at the
Trinkhalle we pass the Kurhaus, the theatre, the Kunsthalle (Art
Museum) and the Museum Frieder Burda and finally reach the Gönner-
Anlage, a rose garden with more than 400 types of roses. From 16:00 -
17:30 opportunity to visit the Museums or to go to the hot springs.
Optional Richard Wagner's opera "Tristan und Isolde" in an
awesome performance at the Festpielhaus. 16:00 - 22:30. Return to
Ettlingen with the bus of the Festspielhaus at 22:30.

Visit of the former Cistercian abbey of Maulbronn; as one of the best
preserved medieval monastery monuments north the Alps the monastery
has been registered as one of the UNESCO’ World Cultural
Heritage sites. For lunch possibility to try the "Maultasche” (Swabian
ravioli),

Saturday, September 29, 8:30 - 16:00 Black Forest Tour:
Lautenbach – Oberkirch - Allerheiligen
Visit of the Pilgrimage church Maria Krönung in Lautenbach, a gothic
church with famous altarpieces of the late middle Ages; lunch in
Oberkirch; continuation of the journey to the ruins of the
Premonstratensian monastery Allerheiligen. Finally we go for a walk
along the Allerheiligen-waterfalls.
